Are covid restrictions really that strict in Australia?

one of our bartenders just got a positive result so like half the staff are in the basement doing rapid tests rn 💃🏻

nah they literally removed every restriction outside of masks on trains

Keep in mind also we got like 95% vax rate in major areas also

my work’s nye event got cancelled, i’m so glad i get the night off lmao

Are the rapid tests usually accurate? And if you test negative on the rapid test can you just go straight back to work?

honestly not 100% sure (i’m skeptical of them), we’re waiting for a reply to see if the guy that called in sick did a real test or not

i think for the staff that are on site right now we’re relying on the tests but urge anyone that’s unwell to leave/not come in

On Day 6 of iso tomorrow and need a negative PCR to be released. Did a rapid test today which was negative in the first 30 min but after a couple hours showed a positive result. Test instructions say test result is invalid after 30 min which could result in a false positive. I did another test 6 hours later which was again negative but turned positive after a couple hours. Siblings did the same test and neither of their tests showed a positive line after a couple hours. Hope this PCR comes back negative tomorrow otherwise I'm in iso for another 10 days F*** this might be missing christmas AND NYE.

You can start out negative but turn positive in the following days depending on your exposure. My brother was negative for 2 days after my parents were confirmed positive and on the third day turned positive. Tests are just a snapshot in time so best to monitor symptoms and reassess.

Feel for the businesses who have people cancelling last minute.

Even with restrictions easing it seems some people are waiting to see what the fallout is with that new variant anyways and that economic recovery they were looking for isn’t happening as planned

Thanks fam. It’s scary rn, I know people who have hung out with someone who tested positive (at the movies but somehow weren’t deemed close contacts) and then are going out and s*** a few days later after testing negative. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up testing positive in a couple more days

Much easier to follow and looks much more polished. Still has some terrible dialogue in parts. Worth the watch because s3 they get into the interesting storylines, s2 sets it up really well while developing our main characters

yeah went to city last night just for some dinner with the boys basically felt empty outside of like formal going on darling harbour, was fun night tho went down to strike bowling had couple drinks and yeah saved lot of money not going to ivy
