Restrictions are already very heavy minus hopping everyone on job keeper and shutting down even essential services.
Sure they should’ve locked down harder earlier but at this point it’s way too late. Even with restrictions it only takes a few people to forgo them and cause mass infection aka the hoxton birthday party which basically made all these case numbers go ballistic at the start.
We actually don’t have that many cases. The reality is we need to vaccinate and go back to largely normal
Also as an anecdotal people are genuinely sick of lock downs at this point. We already dealt with this s*** for many months last year

the fact nsw still has hotel quarantine is f***ing insane, it should be at the very least home isolation by tomorrow.
we (if you're in nsw) really need to hold our nerve here. don't listen to mcgowan and arden types who live in fantasy land (look at their vaccination rates btw). concede that borders are out of reach and do what is best for the people of nsw - restoration of life/freedoms for vaccinated individuals
it's the only way out of this. I really hope they stay the course.
And anyone calling this a "mockdown" can go f*** themselves.
