There is probably a biological hard cap on human lifespan at 140-150 years
Problem is to keep your body free from aging related issues you need to increase cell turnover rate.... and when u increase cell turnover rate the appearance of cancerous cells becomes more likely

no one is saying players can't have a say lmao. but right now, the product is ass in part because dudes are literally maneuvering to get to certain places or with certain players the moment they end up in the league or sign a new deal. so you get an accumulation of talent on 3-4 squads, the rest of the league suffers, the product becomes more and more ass

I believe the same logic applies to telomere length
The longer the telomore the more aging related effects are warded off but having long telomores increases cancer risk... might be wrong about this tho
