    RETRO90' by SZA
    Executive Produced by Timbaland

"Solána Imani Rowe, or better known as SZA, decides to release her second studio album, the follow up to 2017's CTRL, "RETRO90.'" On this project, SZA takes things in an entirely different direction than what was presented to us on her debut. After meeting with Legendary producer, Timbaland, SZA & Timbo began working on this project together which is heavily inspired by the late 90's early 00's Timbaland signature, Futuristic Bouncy Sound that he's best known for. SZA was heavily inspired by Timbaland's unorthodox production style growing up, most notably the works he did with Missy Elliott, Aaliyah & Ginuwine. This album is aiming to go for a much darker and nighttime feel compared to her debut CTRL. Timbaland took up Executive Production duties on this project while also bringing along a cast of many talented individuals who also put a hand in the vision and scope of this project. This project was Inspired by Albums Such as Full Moon by Brandy, One In A Million by Aaliyah, The Bachelor by Ginuwine & Most Notably, Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliot."

    Car Test Interview: Rick Ross

    Elliot Wilson:
What's going on y'all. It's Elliot with your man Rick Ross. The legend himself. I'm very excited for this interview.

    Rick Ross:
Always a pleasure to talk with you Elliot. Pick the car you wanna ride in.

    Elliot Wilson:
    Seriously?

    Rick Ross:
Of course. You my guest and I'm a great host.

    Elliot Wilson:
    Phantom rolls of course.

*Car pulls up blasting Santorini Greece

    Elliot Wilson:
    Man

    Rick Ross:
Lifestyle of a don. Black excellence and black wealth. I'll get us some lemon pepper wings at the end.

    Elliot Wilson:

    *both enter the car

    Interview Proceeds

    Elliot Wilson:
Wow this is nice. Before I get lost let's talk about your new album coming titled Still Teflon. Is this a sequel to Teflon Don?

    Rick Ross:
Yes and no. In some ways, it continues some of the central themes of teflon don but in other ways it's an entirely different album

    Elliot Wilson:
    How so?

    Rick Ross:
Teflon Don was me with a chip on my shoulder and a reflection of everything going on in my life. From my feud with a certain someone to me ascending into a real player in rap. Still Teflon is more about what I have become now and a message to Black America.

    Elliot Wilson:
    So it's more conscious?

    Rick Ross:
More entrepreneur. It's about success and how you keep it. What you do with your success and how you live life to the fullest.

    Elliot Wilson:
Did Jay's 4:44 inspire this album?

    Rick Ross:
Yes both Jay and Nas inspired this song. Both are on this album as well. Life is Good and 4:44 were grown man hip-hop albums from rap titans that overcame a lot. I feel like this is where I am in my career.

    Elliot Wilson:
That's dope man. We really need more albums for the older rap fans so we can grow with the artists.

    Rick Ross:
Yes, and older artists need to guide the culture even more. Lay rules and a blueprint for future men and women as they get older.

    Elliot Wilson:
Let's talk about the singles you released.

    Rick Ross:
We can start with Tanzanite Heels

    Interview Continues

    Elliot Wilson:
Wow that song is definitely one for the ladies. What inspired this?

    Rick Ross:
Maturing and past relationships. The concept deals with being in love with a woman who's as motivated as you. She's a hustler, knows her worth, has strong family values, and has grown a lot. As men get older we naturally become more attracted to successful women and avoid chasing broads. The hook refers to some expensive ass shoes....

    Elliot Wilson:
    How expensive?

    Rick Ross:
    About 3 million dollars...

    Elliot Wilson:
Damn all that for a girl?

    Rick Ross:
No, a woman. She deserves it when she meets the standard which is why there's an emotional element in the song. The cost of the shoes sorta represent a man finally realizing he's picked the right one and will show her to the world.

    Elliot Wilson:
This is definitely a hit. My wife will love it. Let's talk about the second song.

    *Plays Just Like Us

    Elliot:
That's a hard song. Definitely for the streets. The Biggie sample is dope. But isn't this closer to teflon don than a mature still teflon?

    Rick:
Well I still needed a record to put out there to remind people where we come from. At the end of the day don't fear man, only God. Everyone knows I'm a huge Biggie fan and I've been wanting to sample this record for a long time. I was working in the studio with Wayne and it just came to mind. We wend in and the rest is history

    Elliot:
What does Biggie mean to you? We recently celebrated the anniversary of his death

    Ross:
Everything. From flow to cadence telling stories. He was like a director in a movie. This album takes a lot of inspiration from biggie too. The production is a lot different than earlier projects. More soulful and living. I wanted the music to have a pulse and breathe out to the audience

    Elliot:
I can tell. Can you tell me any more about the album? Like features?

    Rick:
I don't want to give up too much but there's a song with erykah badu, wale, and sade called queen of sheba which is an ode to black women.

    Elliot:
    Did you say sade?

    Rick:
Yes, the Sade. This is probably my favorite record on the album or the record with Jay Z.

    Elliot:
For you to have sade on this album is a testament to your career. You taking us back with this huh

    Rick:
Absolutely. I wanted this album to be a modern ode to music from the past. A lot of the records will take you back to the 90s or 80s r&b but add a modern tint to it making it accessible to everyone. There's a lot of thought-proving records on this album dealing with fatherhood, being a man, what to do as a grown man, and how to be a Don. Even after everything I've accomplished, I'm still me. I haven't changed. I've only grown and matured.

    Elliot:
That's deep. Thank you for this ride. Can I still have the lemon pepper wings?

    Rick Ross:
Absolutely. Thank you for having me

    2nd Album Interview

Brent Faiyaz Sits Down For Interview To Talk About Upcoming Sonder Album As Well As Personal Life

Wassup Brent, thank you for being here today

Yo Yo, Thank you for havin me. It's all love my g

So Let's get straight into what the people want to hear. You released the new single, Meditation with Miguel and It is a smash. So you working on a new project?

For Sure. But it's not a solo project. It's gonna be the debut album for my group Sonder.

I've been hearing rumors that it would be the Sonder album. Can you break down what Sonder is for the people out there who don't know

Sonder is a group consisting of myself, Dpat who is a producer and Atu who is a producer as well. When we come together there's no stopping us.

Dope stuff man. So can tell us about this upcoming album? What's it going to be called?

So the album will be entitled "Illusions" and it will be released in March 21st. We've been working on this for about a year and a half now and I've never put as much effort into anything as much as this bro. Like we all brung our A-Game for this because this one means so much for all of us. The way it's turning out I couldn't ask for much more.

Sounds like Album Of The Year To Me. Grammys better not be on no BS

(laughs) Album Of The Year is what we aiming for. If the Grammy's Can't feel it then F*** Em Yu Heard.

So who else have ya'll been working with on this project? We been hearing rumors that ya'll done assembled the whole goddamn Soulquarians movement for this one

Haha Na you tryin to get me to slip up huh? I gotta keep it on the hush right now but we had so much assistance in creating this project, it's crazy. Ever since I released F*** The World EP i've been meeting and working with so many of my idols and people who I looked up to who I Didn't even know that they knew of me, let alone listened to my music. It's just so crazy how fast things have been going for us and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Bet Bet, well thanks man for stopping by and giving us a quick inside scoop into Illusions. Make sure you stop by after the album drops and gives us a live concert right in here

Haha For Sure Man For Sure. Thanks for having me it's been a pleasure.

my plan is to drop one see the critiques and readjust my second album for the best rollout.
    to get the best score.

drop first to get more money rework and redefine your label.

idk if anyone is gonna get a 10/10 but that should be the goal every album.
