Yeah they are doing the most bc they're hurt somebody doesn't enjoy it like they do.

weird influx of weeknd hate threads lately

  • still gotta listen to The Slow Rush in full
the song "One More Hour" is bloody good stuff tho, good to hear the guitars return on that one
i feel like their first two albums (Innerspeaker & Lonerism) are more of a nicer psych experience
Currents didn't really hit for me

  • Goo

Random comparison but nah that s*** was boring af

Never got Tame Impala, their music gets stuck in the background to me, it just fails to become anything powerful and moving

But I'm also bored of those Weeknd threads.

i feel like recommending some of their earlier stuff, but tbh, if you're not a fan, you're not a fan... and that's okay too

edit: i wish we had the high five smiley on KTT2

the song was a massive flop and didn't do the numbers or get the attention he was hoping for, but in terms of the vibe of the album and theme it's a perfect compliment to the album.

Tame Impala doesn’t release music to get attention

kevin omitted the song because it was a flop, not in terms of chart success or whatever, but critically and in terms of generating attention. borderline supersededit in a major way . he ain't foolin nobody

They do now. They are not indie despite the indie crowd worshipping them.
TSR had a huge rollout too. The album just didn’t click

sorry for not adding in-depth reasoning was at work but a Tame song came on after a Weeknd song and it was like I was born again

And clearly I'd rather focus on the music I love than the music somebody else loves

You acting like a kid my guy. Let it go.

You sound like niggas who would call The Weeknd a band back in the day

  • Where did this comparison come from lmao

  • Nov 2, 2020

Love that new Tame Impala album a lot, but Abel really came through with After Hours.

  • Nov 2, 2020

The Slow Rush deserved a proper Summer and festival run for people to see the greatness of it :(

Funny how Currents is still relevant and TSR came and went

Imo, The Slow Rush > Currents

Only real ones know though, not those weird hip hop wanna be "experimentals" who only know Radiohead, Mac DeMarco, and Currents by Tame Impala

    facts
they havent been indie or even psychedelic rock for a long time now
i saw them live at the start of 2014, when they were still doing the pre-Currents live set
and then i saw them live near the end of 2015 when they had just released Currents.... two different versions of the same band
    both shows were great though

Was it huge? Or was it just bigger than his previous album?

Cmon man he was headlining Coachella before this album. He don’t need headlines
