This project was my formal introduction to Drake. I was thirteen years old, Over was playing all the time on the radio and my mom went and got the CD from Walmart. I took it from her and burned it onto my Xbox and this would be the only thing I listened to as I played. Funny thing about the CD was that it was the clean version but misprinted because Over was uncensored lmao
But yeah even though this isn’t my favorite Drake project, it’s the one that started it all for me. It is even the project that made me go deeper into Hip-Hop & R&B and made me a fan of those genres. For that this album will always hold a special place for me.
Suffered from the pop rap era but still some incredible tracks on here. Has a debut been topped commercially since this? All I know is niggas knew he was a force by the time this was done
Now drop the vinyl already
Drake keeps shooting himself in the foot by not making vinyls for his albums available. I'll never understand it.

Crazy thing is I know there are a couple of copies out there from that cancelled discography pressing

It's clear he's the one who doesn't want vinyls out there at this point so it's whatever.

Makes me more thankful than anything that they ended up doing vinyl for $$$4U because I was convinced that it wasn’t happening when the album dropped lmao

invasion of privacy might be the closest
I always found it insane we call this album a disappointment its literally everything u could want from a mainstream debut

$$$4U was an OVO Sound drop. It was always gonna get a vinyl release.

Only idiots see it as a disappointment.

That would definitely be the closest. Lower debut week but definitely way bigger hits and bigger impact, I'd say.
Cardi B really shot herself in the foot by not capitalising on the momentum she had from 2018-2020 to drop a sophomore album. She'll never get that back again.
June 15th in this b**** wassupppp
