My power just went out

Lost my house due to this

The house got to 10 degrees, we got power finally and then our pipes burst thus our house flooding and collapsing

more the fact texans are pissed because their government didn't prepare even bothering with freak scenarios like this in play because of climate change, which right-wing conservatives in the government don't like to believe in

it's not the snow itself, it's the lack of infrastructure set by the state government in the case of extreme weather conditions like this. trust me, if we still had power and even a couple salt trucks and plows, i'm sure people would've loved this kind of snow. but instead we got people out here freezing in their own homes and water pipes bursting and s***.

It’s not just the snow a******, people were loving the snow the first day

But then all the buildings and houses couldn’t handle it and gave out

My little brother lives in Austin and he could see his breath in his f***ing house, the pipes above his apartment restroom burst and the whole ceiling was leaking a bunch of water

He’s walking an hr and a half to a shelter to spend the night cause he has no power/water..and all the motels around him are over booked

S*** f***ing sucks

And my sister has been spending the last couple nights in a motel cause her work is an hr away from her so it was safer to stay somewhere closer but she was living off vending machine food cause the damn grocery stores were closed until today...where she had to wait 2hrs in the cold to even enter
