Its not practical to think that the police can stop these types a crime in a subway. It's simply too many people. Being a good samaritan and snitching is the best bet.

If thats what you wish to believe then thats on you. You need to remember because you wouldnt do something doesnt mean others will follow suit. If expanded police presence failed in more volatile times, in the same city. What makes you think that said presence being concentrated in train stations instead of neighborhoods would be any different.
