God some of the lines so cringe this man really said “I AM THE PROTAGONIST” like f*** the 4th wall huh
Anyone else feel 0 investments in the characters, barely understood the dialogue and thought the "time travel" aspect was s***ty but still loved the movie lmao ??
Something about the movie still has me thinking about it, I'm excited for the 2nd watch.

the one thing i still dont understand:
why did they go back to the freeport? just to save the woman? and in the freeport why was the inversed protagonist trying to kill the present one?
Why do they go back -
After Sator shoots Kat, why do they have to put Kat into the Turnstile?
Because of magic physics. Inverted objects apparently emit some unknown deadly radiation. The only cure is inversion. There is no clever insights into inversion physics here. It's just a magical plot device to force Kat, Neil and Protagonist into the Turnstile. Don't worry about it too much.

To answer your second question - He wasn't trying to kill the TP if you noticed he was actually emptying his clip and disassembling the gun so the OG TP wouldn't use it against him. Hope that makes sense.

I saw the movie last night and f***ing loved the idea and the acting, the final act was f***ing crazy. I got the idea of the inversion s*** kinda
But I can't for the life of me tell you what the movie is about lmao
This is gonna take like 2 more watches for me.

they literally call him the protagonist cause it’s “the afterlife” and that’s what tenet is

he takes that suicide pill right?
it was a test, he compromises his life and is brought into the mission by his future self to save the world

Its not a real suicide pill, it was a test to see if one was ready to die for their mission.

Bro I know exactly what you mean.
After my first watch I was reading online and s*** and went thru a bunch of opinions and s*** just to get a better grasp on the intricacies of inversion
When I walked in for that second watch no cap it was some temporal pincer s*** my dude and deadass I enjoyed it more than the first time, infact I was surprised the movie finished so quickly I was shook af

yeah it's what i meant lol
did you guys notice when inverted JDW was in the gray car during the highway chase scene, he looks at regular JDW for a second and the whole movie glitches? did anybody catch that
also did anyone catch when kat, JDW, and Neil were talking in the boat and the things behind them kept moving back and forth? does that mean that we're watching them do this in regular time and inverted time?

hahaha i thought this too but after a second watch it’s just a windshield wiper i think, i don’t think anything is inverted

oh s*** lmao thanks man
I had a real hard time understanding dialogue in the theater s*** made it more confusing but the action was easy to put together.
Need to watch again with subtitles.
So if you’re inverted and go back in time
You can’t get back to the future.
You mean the present?
They went back to a time where Kats wound would be healed already and I don’t think the protagonist was trying to kill himself you’ll notice on a rewatch that he was actually aiming at the glass maybe sending warning shots / or setting the bullet holes in place for a future protagonist to know it’s himself
