Decided to listen to Maroon out of morbid curiosity and that is legitimately one of the worst dream pop attempts I’ve ever heard
if you think maroon is an attempt at dream pop you’re a clown
this is so extremely insane

i think this might settle as my favorite taylor album
Same fam I’m astounded
Just listened to the 3am version on a flight and ran the main version back and god damn. Definitely some of her best work despite some corny ass lyrical moments. Instrumentally and lyrically for the most part this is the most cohesive she’s sounded imo
The Great War is the Taylor Postal Service vibe I’ve always wanted
she on her 10th album (kinda more if you include rerecorded) doing s*** like this 😭
like this not even a comeback album she just kills it every year bro
unprecedented discog. she’s been consistently putting out quality music for 10+ years
this is so extremely insane
https://twitter.com/aboutmusicyt/status/1583855104968765440F***ing insane to think she’s given us Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and now Midnights AND Fearless and Red re-recorded in 4 years
F***ing insane to think she’s given us Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and now Midnights AND Fearless and Red re-recorded in 4 years
She’s gonna be a problem by the end of the decade when she doesn’t have to re-record anymore
Pussied out with the score
It’s crazy how up and down Taylor is to me (in my subjective opinion ofc). I hated Reputation and Lover, loved Folklore and Evermore, and halfway through this and it’s the middest of mid
P****footing around reviewing her stuff and then showering her in 9s in a series of retrospective reviews is one of the most bizarre, spineless moves by a publication ever
Like they straight up reviewed a 1989 cover album by Ryan Adams before giving her the time of day (known perv lol). Now they wanna pretend they're serious again by giving her a 7

did you like 1989?
