@BVL can we listen to this album together via FaceTime? 🥺 I’ll be in a hot tub if you don’t mind bro but we can like listen to each song and then have a discussion after

She can’t stand having someone
Prettier than her on her album
Every artist should take this approach and reveal tracklist weekly instead of 4 singles smfh. Taylor really the goat

Not every artist has x millions in the bank and worldwide influence in the industry; you need singles because you need people to hear your music, Swift is simply powerful enough to escape this constraint.

Good thing I don’t listen to broke artists
Taylor waited for Lana to enter her songwriting and artistic prime before snatching her for a feature
Love to see that. Smart Queen
Why don't more artists (Specifically hip/hop) who are concerned with first-week sales rollout their albums like this?
I mean I know the answer to my own question, primarily is because
a. You need to have the album turned in at least two months before release and a lot of artists work up to the deadline
b. Taylor has such a coordinated team behind her with basically limitless resources
So I'm assuming, this was announced on the 29th of August, so she probably handed the album in at the start of August?
And then the four alternate covers/vinyls all ship the week of release right? Massively boosting FW-sales.
Is a very smart tactic, I just wonder how far in advance you have to have finished the album and turned it in to structure such a rollout ygm?

well you're talking supply on the label/artist side but there has to be demand on the consumer side. taylor and a small number of other artists meet that demand, or a "major" demand at all these days. the way things are set up, i'd say it has more to do with the audience than anything.

Yeah very true, the consumer demand needs to exist for labels to sanction a rollout like this
i can't do all the bonus and vault tracks or whatever but i just listened to Fearless (taylor's version) in full for the first time. Hey Stephen, White Horse, You Belong With Me is a great lil run of songs.
