To me it’s actually his first album I can play wit no skips
But the fact that you’re using a Dior collection to put someone in the top 3 as opposed to one of the best rap albums of the year regardless of how you feel about his past work says all that needs to be said about the state of rap/rap fans rn
yeah I just don't feel that way about the new Tyler record. It's good and it's one of the best rap albums of the year but Mach-Hommy, Mike, Armand Hammer, etc all better imo so it's top maaaybe top 5 and we're only halfway through the year.
I think me using the Dior collection as an example of Trav's overall relevance and cultural impact is a totally relevant thing to bring up. It's an unparalleled level of collaboration and it takes a huge amount of pull for a fashion house like Dior to even contemplate it.
Trav's last two singles (Franchise & The Scotts) both debuted #1.
His festival sold out as fast as Coachella despite insanely prices and no lineup.
He's Nike's most important collaborator (besides Virgil,) had a McDonalds collab, a Sony collab, the list goes on and on...

I loved Cole’s album at first, had it on repeat for the first two weeks but haven’t really listened since. It’s good music but it doesn’t stick with you imo and him dropping didn’t feel like an “event” like with drake or Kendrick.
Cole is a solidified legend but he just lacks that X-factor of drake and Kendrick. I wouldn’t put him in the top three rap artists rn but if we’re talking impact he’s probs still 3rd
