Ichi The Killer is what i would point you towards first then, probably his most iconic film and a great introduction to his craziness. It’s more on the wacky side, so if you want something that’s tonally more serious i’d point you towards something else. But all in all this is an absolute gem of cult cinema. Beware that this film gets gore-y at points though.

If you want a bigger budget epic, i’d say check out 13 Assassins. A more grounded story with an insane 1 hour long climax. Absolute peak.
