Though I do think the photos are pretty bad. She looks great but they're incredibly derivative of early-mid 2000's pop star photography to the point where they just look lifeless and emotionless. I'm pretty sure every teen focused magazine in the checkout lines during those years were filled with photos that look just like this. Props to him though if he's getting that bag repackaging something that was mass produced 20 years ago
according to him he didnt even get paid
She let him fund a whole photoshoot, and then still demanded control about its release. Ridiculous. She tried to use and discard his labour with no compensation, like he didnt invest his own time and money and doesnt have bills to pay.
Then she is gonna spin this about her right as a woman….. Wasnt the feminist movement about equality? Well if you want to control the photos then hire the man, under contract so you own the license to the photos. Legally this is no different then trying to control a paparazzi photos.
Exactly
Well it was posted without consent. The images can be considered to some as sexual/pornographic/NSFW in nature...let's take a couple seconds to put 2 and 2 together.
It might not be "revenge p***" in the manner that we know it, but it does very clearly fall into the category of nonconsensual p***ography.
Eh you could argue this is more artistic than p***ographic without any nudity though.
We've seen plenty other shoots from musicians like this that wouldn't be called p***ographic

Lol uhhh no.

P***ography can still be art, art can still be p***ographic
P***ography can still be art, art can still be p***ographic
Yeah so if it's art, then it would be protected in law.
Also, the law draws a clear line usually on what p*** content isn't protected as art in cases
Feelings rule over common sense and principles in this current era. The reaction on social media has proven this. Crazy
P***ography can still be art, art can still be p***ographic
P***ography that is art
Art that is p***ography
this whole situation f***ed up
I think they should pay the photographer for his time even though they didn't like the pics, but he's such an a****** for leaking these pics, I'm feeling sorry for her rn

"can be considered to be p***ographic or sexual in nature" is where I disagree. She's just posing in a bikini, there's nothing sexual about these imo. And this was a whole ass photoshoot SZA agreed to do. They weren't intended to be private and if she had any strong moral objections to the photos, I don't think she would have taken them in the first place
To me, being a victim of revenge p*** means sharing something private (nudity or not) with someone else and trusting them to keep it private. But then they go ahead and make it public.
Legally speaking, there has to be some sort of harm to SZA. I don't see how this photoshoot would cause that when we've seen her in her underwear before in music videos and IG posts
Damn niggas with high profile shoots and more levels above me still not getting paid
I should just do wedding photography.. oh wait
P***ography that is art
Art that is p***ography
Maserati is an excellent artisté

I mean in short she should have just paid him in short but releasing the pictures against her will wasn't the move

SZA a weird chick, we know that she doubts herself alot even at this point and prefers to be in full control of how she is presented and all that. Chances are she did the photoshoot, wasn't happy with how she looked...for whatever reason, and decided to instead keep it private/unreleased. That's totally fine and she's within her right. One thing that I'll defend the photographer on is he should've been paid. SZA, TDE, Republic been in this game for too long and SZA has done so many photoshoots in the past to not know how this goes, so I just refuse to believe that they were all about to ghost this photographer. That don't even sound right. And the fact that the photographer has now deleted all his tweets about the matter, along with the photoshoot is also pretty suspect. If you are telling the truth, and you were contractually within your right to post the photos if payment was not received based on what has been arranged...what you deleting s*** for? Stand on that then.
Also legally the harm that can be done is simple. These are photos that she wished to be kept private for whatever personal reason she had. Them being released against her wishes can be seen as harmful as some dude is just posting pictures of her that she did not want posted, which likely f***s with her mental and makes her feel like she has no control over herself and her image.
But as I said, dude should've been paid soon as SZA received the final copies of the photos. I'm positive that the payment would've been pocket change for SZA, TDE, and/or Republic.
