No, the main character is a teenage girl, not a gay man in his 30s. It's about Beyonce stans

    I'll save you some time:
My point is basically black artist should be allowed to create whatever they want and not have to cater to "black twitter". And Obama daughter shouldn't be criticized for working on this, if she actually is a talented writer, who cares. This forced "Donald is showing her off as his only black writer" is some weird made up s***

If twitter is the place you're getting your opinions from, then this really isn't the place to share them.

But then again I also think calling white chicks a "Karen" is corny and passive aggressive af. I prefer the term "white b****"

I got a personal theory on that term that idk if this is the thread for sharing lol

So being a racist is so gendered and coded masculine that we can’t even fathom lumping women in with their fellow male - and more violent - counterparts. It’s partially why it has to be said commonly by poc “no, women can be racist too”. There’s this unspoken idea that only men are straight up racist

And we had to come up with a funny and isolated term for racist women as a result of this. There’s still that part of us that can’t separate from the notion of a women being just another racist so we came up with a name and unique classification (but f*** it, it’s still hilarious and I don’t mind that it exists lol)

    Just a theory tho

I'm unfortunately doing a deep dive on twitter and yeah this nigga @user definitely made up that bullshit about
"the type of mf who made s*** like cranes in the sky their whole personality and the average Solange fan closer to a “new black” "

Literally twitter search "solangeknowles black experience" and it's just every type of black person praising her, so how you assumed "these are mostly new blacks" when majority of black people love Solange is beyond me.

I personally remember damn near every type of black person praising her albums, especially when A seat at the table came out and how it expresses the black experience. But you got d***heads on KTT2 tryna rewrite history.

I get what @user is saying, but the whole new/nu black stuff is way more nuanced than the old suburb vs city black stereotype. There’s a certain archetype they fit, but at the same time it’s most Twitter personalities. The types that will say “Living Single was Friends before Friends but y’all not ready for that conversation” type s***

    🤣🤣🤣

Now you “unfortunately doing deep dives” Lmao is it oochie Wally or one mic nigga?

You really letting this s*** get you flustered and bewildered gang. S*** must hit home.

Every person who ever liked that album is a “new black”? no and you need to take some night classes if that’s what you got from what I said. Either you get it or you don’t. Around 2016 between Atlanta itself, Get Out, that album and Jordan Peele type films coupled with the trying too hard to be different type of black people was birthed the term “new black”. Yes it’s typically gonna be the “alt/weirdo” black person but that don’t mean every one of them fall into that category. It’s not much more to it than that bro lol

I literally quoted you saying "the average fan of that album is a new black"...those were YOUR words. So don't twist it around.

I don't even think you understand what you're saying because one minute it's "google Pharrell New black", which that comment was coined in 2014. And now its "around 2016 between atlanta, get out..." (even tho get out came out in 2017...)

One minute it's "shit made by suburban black kids" and now it's "alt/weirdos"...like which one is it bruh??

Even with all that said, where did this false statement of "the average fan of that Solange album is a new black" come from? Like where is your proof of that? I honestly think you fell for some kid trolling on here and decided to jump on that bandwagon and it's not working out too well for you now.

    You're projecting again bro.

How can i question myself with that, when I still have no idea wtf a "new black" is...you've done a s***ty job explaining and keep contradicting yourself.

"the trying too hard to be different type of black people"

Lmao literally what does that even mean? There isn't one way to be a black person, so how can you "try hard to be a different black person" if there isn't a clear established way?
Even the example tweets you gave made no sense, so you're trying sooo hard to be different because you don't like Martin? So every black person is obligated to like Martin or else you're this "new black" thing?
