Yea I think that’s her lol. But I can’t blame her for not wanting to use the Obama name for her work
She is probably trying to forge her own identity in the industry
Especially when you have d***heads like @user trying to push twitter inspired think pieces about her

You’re spittin
Cause then if there’s all these scenes with bees in them and dialogue referring to bees they couldn’t go back to redo it all, im saying maybe it originally referred to Bey by name
man what
Especially when you have d***heads like @user trying to push twitter inspired think pieces about her
Yes it’s some random nigga on a Kanye West forum’s fault she’s doing that….as opposed to her own self awareness that the things I was touching on (a presidents daughter being the voice for black women in their 20’s/that being what one of the show runners leads with being laughable lmao) are kinda…true? Lol
Wish her the best regardless though. She ain’t choose her parents

Bro don’t refer to yourself as a random nigga, have a little more confidence.
User wants all black ppl to be down bad, broke and oppressed. He hates seeing the possibilities of a wealthy lifestyle

I mean if my stance is so crazy why do you have to extend what I posted verbatim above your post into this ridiculous hyperbole.
Lmaoo at reaching for this all from “it’s funny the show runner said a presidents daughter is their voice for black 20something women”
But whatever man lol. Lmaoo at “being a presidents daughter probably means your a little out of touch with a regular black womans experience” = “black people cant have wealthy experiences” Lmaoo wtf
What the f*** do y’all niggas be talking bout man lol

Because your stance is she’s not black enough due to having privilege and security guards watching after her and having wealthy parents. It ain’t hard to see how that reads…

We talked about this before that the black experience isn’t one size fits all, it’s different for everybody. You think YOUR experience is the black experience which isn’t true at all.
Because your stance is she’s not black enough due to having privilege and security guards watching after her and having wealthy parents. It ain’t hard to see how that reads…
She has melanin thus she’s black. You keep coming up with things I never said and do this every time you @ me to revive this convo lol. I would never say someone “isn’t black enough” because there are all types of black people to begin with.
Using her as your voice for black 20 something women or at least marketing it that way is ridiculous. Someone who grew up with bodyguards and a certain type of insulation shouldn’t be who they’re touting as that voice whether it’s purely marketing or not. That’s it and that’s all I’m saying my nigga lmao. That has nothing to do with whether or not regular black people are “allowed” to be nerdy/wealthy/etc. like you keep trying to stretch it to for some reason i could not tell you why…

Fam you did say she doesn’t have a black experience, how does that not mean she isn’t black enough when all you’ve done is complain about her being a (made up) “voice of the black youth”

You’re quick to jump at “oh you’re making things up”
When no, really examine YOUR words.
She’s black, so what makes her not qualify for being a black voice? Or “The” youthful black voice as you see it?
If she was poor, from the hood, would you be complaining then? No you wouldn’t. So what does that really say about your stance?

Crine at “fam how you not gonna let ME tell YOU what YOUR words mean”
😂😂😂

If you don’t see why a mf with a bodyguard and homeschooling shouldn’t be promoted as “yeah she’s our voice for black 20something women” then really there’s nothing more to discuss my nigga. How many black women have grown up as/can relate to being a presidents daughter for them to even feel like that was some s*** to say lol? Think long and hard about this one
This ain’t even about hood/suburb/rich/poor etc like you tryna make it lol. Lmaoo like that’s the funniest s*** nigga we’re talking about a literal presidents daughter. This wouldn’t even be something to go back and forth on for you if it was a Clinton/Reagan/Bush daughter being touted as the young wild voice of American girls for like Breaking Bad lol. But she got same color as Me Doe! 😂 again best wishes to her bc this has less to do with her as it does that showrunner lady making tht comment/description

You say all of THAT as if being a presidents daughter has been ya ONLY critique on black artist.
That’s what I’m tryna get through to you, every black artist that doesn’t seem like the norm you criticize. The proud family thread, the whole new black narrative. When you combine all your opinions together about black ppl it sounds as if you have a very narrow mindset on who black people should be.
Like I said these is your words not mine.

Gonna make this short since I'm tired, but the first two episodes they premiered at SXSW were pretty damn great. Dominique Fishback is legitimately incredible in the lead role she's given. Definitely has a heavily unnerving/tense vibe throughout the whole thing. Janine Nabers and Donald really did a splendid job in bringing things to life with the show (the latter very much directed the first episodes real nicely imo). This is also much, much more graphic than Atlanta (both in violence and nudity). All in all, looking forward to the rest of the episodes when they come out next week
