Yeah, not publicly at least. Prince has acknowledged Michael publicly a few times. Tavis Smiley said that Prince locked himself in his room for days when Michael died, then while they were in Paris together, he said Prince talked to him for hours until the sun came up about how much he admired Michael. It's a video on YouTube of Tavis talking about this.
Apparently, Michael had approached Prince in the 2000s about doing a joint tour but Prince didn't want to. Of course he was never going to even consider opening for Michael, even if they alternated the nights or something. Such a strange dynamic between the two but they were cool. Just an ultra competitive relationship and a masterful showing of media manipulation from both sides which kept both of their allures at a peak level we'll never see again.
