Canadians showing up too!

I thought S41 was bad The changes to the editing were horrible, the cast wasn't interesting, I was sick of hearing "Drop the 4, keep the 1" and it has a mediocre winner. Even the social issues some of the players and the editing team clearly wanted to be a talking point of the season was addressed better in one episode of s42
42 has an amazing cast fr, would love to see a lot of these people play again

I agree about the editing and the producers clearly having a hand in more of the gameplay design choices, but I do think a lot of it comes down to inconsistent editing.
I think the winner would have been better if we saw more of their stategy, because the edit kind of had them in the background until the merge/a lot of post-merge.
I actually thought the cast was (for the most part) entertaining and were screwed by a bad edit. Shan, Xander, Naseer, Ricard, Liana I could see most of them returning eventually.
That being said, 42's cast is just so much better in every way. I just hope that since they film season back to back, they drop some of the new twists/advantages for season 43/44.

Yeah, they need to drop the Do or Die and Hourglass twists from now on Not sure how I feel about the length of the game being shorter now. I feel like they'll do a back to basics type theme with less twists and no advantages, just idols for 43/44. There's way too much going on in the game rn and someone could be in a position where they're holding almost everything like Drea was this season
I liked Shan on the show at first, but seeing how bitter she was towards Ricard made me lose a lot of respect for her as a person. They knew they'd eventually have to turn on each other and even spoke about it during the game. Then she gives him the cold shoulder and doesn't speak to him at Ponderosa because he turned on her
Finale tonight
I think Maryanne gonna win it all barring any f***ery, they got a golden path to the end
Lot of players from this season I see coming back tho, Mike, Johnathon, Lindsey, Drea, Hai, Omar
Great cast this season
42 winner Convinced Mike would've won that, seemed like pre FTC they viewed Mike as the winner. But he fumbled that final tribal hard, and Maryanne did everything as perfect as you could get there. Solid cast.
43's teaser and cast didn't look as interesting, but we'll see.

100% agree
Had my money on Drea, but I'm just happy a black woman won for the first time in 38 seasons
It's about time
Up there with DvG and Cagayan as one of the best ever casts of first time players. There's such a huge difference in quality between S41 and S42, the show needed a season on this level
Disappointed to hear Omar say that he found Drea hypocritical because she'd justify voting people off with "It's just a game" but she gave him the cold shoulder at Ponderosa after she got voted out It's a game where there can only be one winner, you shouldn't be salty when things don't go your way. And she was the cause of her own demise by telling Omar about the Knowledge is Power advantage. Interesting to know that Omar had an idol nullifier and they just completely edited that out
Yall need to watch Survivor South Africa Seasons 6-8. The budget and editing don't compare to US Survivor but there's some brilliant players in there. And there's going to be a returnee season later this year too
Romeo had a ticket to the final 3 booked since like the final 7, nobody was getting rid of him. I get it, but I wish that Jonathan was there instead. He really didn't do as well at the individual challenges as you'd expect, he put the person holding all his alliance's advantages at risk when he tried to make a big move and people realized he wasn't good socially because of how he spoke to the women in the game. That final tribal would've been a lot more interesting, Romeo was like Troyzan. The jury knew they wouldn't vote for him, the viewers knew it, he knew it
His dad is a conservative politician and there's a picture of him posing with his family and Jonathan's sister has an "All Lives Matter" shirt on Explains why he got so defensive about racism in that one tribal council. Would've loved to see how he responded to the jury
Apparently Drea was s***ting all over Omar at Ponderosa and tried to paint him as going after POCs among other things cuz she was salty about getting eliminated

He's still an executive producer, long as the show bringing in views and ratings it'll continue
Replacing a host on a long running show obviously tough like any other game show. Seen people say Andrea would be good to follow after him.
good first ep, my winner pick was almost first person voted out
& i like to think im decent at puzzles and brain teasers etc but that bone number thing f***ed me up
Losing tribe don't know who to vote for because they haven't been talking strategy at all and haven't even thought about going to tribal. Then they just happen to settle on the black woman even though this works out worse for the women on that tribe because now the men have the numbers I don't think these people were paying attention during that double vote off tribal in S42, this is not a good look.

It would feel weird without Probst but Boston Rob, Penner, Parvati, Cochran would all be better picks than Andrea imo. I feel like people just say that because of Andrea's experience in TV but Penner and Parvati have that too
