after all these years imma be honest they should just do it. in 2024 I dont f***ing care about ethos or any other corporate identity bullshit as if this wasnt a business to begin with and turned into a proper entity eons ago. the one appeal of that whole s*** is that the clothes can actually tap into some of my interests and their accessories are cool. anyone still clinging to any kind of authenticity for f***ing supreme is cooked with herbs and spices. get me regular drops and eliminate second hand market, skaters can support their friends brands if theyre so into authenticity and that
Ironically Luxottica is the best move for them.
Oakley collabs means no more palace exclusivity, they could probably even pull Factory Team if the contract allowed them to and move that under Supreme. Would be interesting
I've around the block for a while now.
I remember when all the OG posters from the HB forums kept saying Supreme fell off in 2011 because of Odd Future.
And then I saw people who got into streetwear in 2011 acting like gatekeepers towards people wearing Supreme 2014 and saying the brand fell off then.
It was same thing in 2015 when the Jordan 5 collab dropped and people complained about the collab being sold in Nike stores and House of Hoops as part of their deal with Jordan Brand.
Same with the LV collab.
Same with the VF Corp acquisition.
You got the Tik Tok generation always talking about how corny the brand is because their frame of reference for who they associate the brand with is people Jake Paul, Ricegum and those "How Expensive is your Outfit" videos from 2018.
And now we're here. It's been so interesting watching this brand's perception change and yet stay the same for over a decade.

I thought the same thing the other day. Really shows how timeless Supreme really is culturally and design wise. I noticed how you can see it in the designs the past 5 years. Not many overzealous box logos on every shirt/pant/hoodie and just subtle logos that still present the ethos of the brand.

yeah, the 'supreme is dead' comment has been being made since i got into the brand nearly 15 years ago.
the tik tok generation is funny because i've seen ig reels explaining how kith / ald are pioneers of streetwear
i've officially reached old head hater status

As annoying as it is, it's nothing new. If you've been into fashion for a while you should know this! Sizing standards change over the years for trend alignment. Is the oversized look in? Take a wild guess how that will impact the sizing.

i've had to sell like 3 jackets because they fit comically wide
my jersey from last year compared to a 2011 jersey is like 3 inches wider
