  • Which film makes more money at the box office? Opening weekend…lifetime total…domestic…worldwide…

With tickets going on sale for F4, tracking data will be out soon so this is the last time to make unbiased predictions.

What about critical reception? Who gets the better Rotten Tomatoes and metacritic scores?

My head tells me that Superman has never been a box office giant and that the Marvel machine is undefeated.

I think both have the potential to touch a billion but F4 just feels more likely to me rn

I’m only going to the theater for Superman personally

  • Superman will definitely do way better at the box office based on the IP alone & although Marvel is a giant now, it’s rep has been hit hard these last few years & just recently coming back to form

Critic opinion it’s a toss up

  • Both F4 movies are trash and I don't think Pedro got any box office pull like that.

    Superman looking a little overstuffed

I mean, if anyone can pull off a superhero ensemble it’s f***ing James Gunn.

And as an aside, they don’t need much explanation or backstory, and I don’t think the movie will delve into any of that, they’ll likely be introduced into the film like any other character, superhero or not.

  • Money on superman

Going to be the better film and higher box office

  • Jun 4

im not moved by either of them rn but i think superman has the better promo rn so ill put my money on superman

superman will win at the box office. i am saying this because the MCU is flopping right now with thunderbolts (well reviewed, didnt sell tickets).

as for critical reviews, idk i mean it could go either way but I'll lean toward supes and james gunn

Think about the opening crew in The Suicide Squad. They had little to no backstory given but they still managed to be somewhat memorable and hold down the first 10-15 minutes of the movie.

I’d imagine the screen time for the other heroes in Superman would be on par, and most of the core cast don’t need much in the way of introduction, because they’re already well established.

A lot of them probably won't get significant screen time. It's just to make the world feel already lived in.

Different from the mcu where every hero/villain needs to have some background
