One of the main characters from Super Mario RPG for the SNES. Sakurai has wanted him in the game since Brawl apparently but hasn’t put him in yet. It also might be complicated because the character is technically owned by Square Enix and apparently they are hard to work with.

Why does everybody want this guy in

He’s cool looking and would have a unique moveset, and his inclusion would probably give a higher chance of Super Mario RGP coming to the Switch. A game a lot of people want to play but haven’t (like me).

I dont really see the appeal of a Mario RPG but well I dont see the appeal of most Mario games anyway so I really much would prefer any other character over him, and there's already a hundred characters from Mario lol

Yeah there’s a lot of Mario characters already but Geno’s a bit special in that while technically he is a Mario character, he doesn’t feel like a standard Mario character. I think it would be really cool to have him in the game personally. He’s not on my top 15 wishlist but I would not be against him. A lot of people want him in and I would be happy for those that want him.

I don’t know much about Geno myself because I’ve never played the game he comes from but from what I’ve heard from people he would have a unique moveset which is something I think DLC should have.

Plant, Joker, Hero, and Banjo all have unique movesets. None of them play like any other characters in the game. I want DLC to continue that trend. Only Terry is similar to already existing characters, which is fine, but it’s more cool when they have a unique moveset.

Also, while I do think Mario has a lot characters in the game, I also think that both Geno and Paper Mario deserve spots in Smash regardless of how many Mario characters there are.
