is every movie worth 20$ theater ticket, parking and experience?
I got alist and usually watch at least 3-4 movies a month
If there’s people going every weekend without a list that’s on them
Also watching on cam quality seems pointless when movies go on streaming after 3 weeks, including this one

I have cared about games and divineness if anything made me more curious about how they go about adapting it. Not enough for theater watch lol. I rarely go to theaters unless a friend wants to go too or I have to be in mood and really want to see something. Stubslist a good move though.

Yeah i get if it doesn’t warrant a theater watch for some people, just I never would be in such a rush to see a movie nowadays in bad cam quality, we live in wild times movies be in good quality online after a week or two

that cam quality wasn't bad
I am not even joking
Obviously in the case of the movie the visuals and audio the main draw so I get you
I watched bootlegs as a kid so I can't judge but I couldn't imagine watching one now
We had no choice back then tbh movies were in theaters for months even half a year until they got dvd releases
I’m not sure I understand the “plot’s weak” argument
yeah.. The whole point of damn near every Mario game is to explore worlds, power through enemies, and defeat Bowser to save Peach.
They just removed the ‘damsel in distress’ trope
My only complaint would be the pacing, which I know is another common critique. I feel like they were doing a really good job building the world and developing characters until they left to get the Kong army. Then it was just reference after reference at the speed of light. It was cool seeing everything, but I would have preferred them save a couple things and just keep giving us a dope and well thought-out world.
Overall really loved character dynamics. Mario & Luigi, Mario & Peach, Mario & DK; even Bowser and Kamek. That’s one thing Illumination seems to do well, is build character chemistry and sympathetic motivations.
one of the better animated movies I seen in recent years.
It was fun, looked visually pleasing and it was amazing to finally get a feel for the lore of the Mario games.
It really did what it was supposed to do and its kinda crazy they havn't made a Mario movie earlier.
I'm excited to go back to this world and explore different corners and maybe a whole Mario Cinematic Universe. I'm invested fr
way more than with any fkng minions movies or trolls or bad guys zootopia or whatever
cool ass moments:
for some reason, seeing the Nintendo logo before the movie started, idk why
The mystery theme when they started exploring the pipes
I love love love the wholesome ass dynamic between Mario & Luigi. It's really endearing seeing how happy Mario was when they reunited at the end
The contextualization of the different kingdoms and world, loved learning about the power-ups and s***, even though we all know them cuz we played the games
the more I think about it the more this seems like most amazing world to do animated movies in s***, i really liked this movie

lmao I liked the movie, sue me
All I'm saying is that it makes sense why this is now one of the biggest animated movies of all time and it's only been 2 weeks.
This has to be the greatest movie ever made
Really enjoyed it
Took me back to my childhood
DK and Bowser were awesome
They put the DK rap too
Billy club here we come
