And I don’t see why that was a knock on him seeing as how the slot has become such a weapon in the last 5 years or so

But the narrative that he could only play slot was never true anyway. His sophomore year he played 80% of his slots outside and the snaps he did play outside his junior year, he easily created separation most of the time. Hell, during one point this season he was the highest graded WR against single coverage.
