    How so?

Well the goal of Project Cybersyn was to use computers to effectively distribute resources and manage a socialist economy on a national level.

Now that was in the early 70s, and was sadly cut short, so obviously whatever this project is, it must be more advanced, at least in terms of computing power.

Is the intended use of this AI similar? Except instead of on a national level, I assume it would have to be international since we now live under a totally globalized capitalist system.

I been on here for longer now and also there's nobody I can talk to this about who isn't just gonna turn off after 5 seconds. So really just wanted to talk about the cool s*** I do

    I have a question.

What do you think Super AI and quantum physics can achieve together?

To answer in a concise way, yes the goal is the same.

Damn great read! Thanks for the plug.

There is that saying, “With great power comes great responsibility.”

Do you think the human race is responsible enough to handle the power that comes with these major advances in science and technology?

I think technology like this helps us better manage ourselves and funnily enough also the technology itself. Humans are very irresponsible but with some guidance we can get there

As a machine learning researcher whose been in the game for years, this post is super cap. The best AI models are ones we know about, because they take insane resources and engineering to make, and thus obviously companies want to show them off. These are the GTP-3s and DALLEs. I’m sure the US government has some secret computer vision alg for drones. But there’s no way OP’s company has better AI models than Google, Facebook, OpenAI. And they’re also very vague about what it does. Machine learning models are only as good as the data they train on and cross-generalization is still very poor. So what exactly was the training dataset of this model and what is its objective function? Is this just a really good classification alg? Is this a text to image generator? One thing I do know is no one has come close to general AI models that can perform any task you give it.

Also I do quantum machine learning and any application of quantum computing to machine learning is still very far away. It definitely would not help us explain consciousness. Consciousness is not a quantum mechanical phenomenon. Wave function collapse, entanglement, etc don’t play a large role in how the brain works besides giving rise to macroscopic chemical phenomenon we observe.

    Ever heard of cascade computing?

Also to answer your question, this project originally started as a data compression project to compress large amounts of data sets.

we're gonna go too far with this and accidentally or intentionally create something far too advanced that will develop it's own sense of self and start seeing humanity (who it was created by to save from extinction) as enemies and relentlessly wipe us out

only to get depressed as f*** afterwards cause they killed their creators ultimately failing their purpose
