He broke her, 6Lack and Belly Gang Kush in the past decade I don’t believe dude is the problem over the girl who thinks its a chore to perform and do meet and greets as a R&B singer lol
This ain't it
This ain't it
Ambiguously blaming a young black exec who has broken multiple artists the past decade because he’s the notable face here in a situation that involves Interscope Records and a motherfucker who eat Popeye’s out of a dustpan ain’t it either lol
A quick Google search also will tell you Justice wasn’t her sole management? Someone named Tunde and ironically another person named Summer P Walker and her most recent manager who has fraud allegations of her own lmaooo but not sure of the timeline of the most recent person and her signing this deal
She was a stripper who cleaned houses before all of this with no real buzz before LVRN/interscope is involved
What other deal was she supposed to sign
Ik smaller artists than her that signed for millions
Knowing Summer this might make her crash out

Gayest X-Man
Saying this when Iceman exists is crazy man
Why do they get to decide what’s classified as an album
that’s how so much fun became thugs first album

That was his choice tho

The point isn’t who, the point is they’re white
and they gave this black woman table scraps and a s*** contract and are now suing her for money she doesn’t have
I’ll never forget when girls need love dropped and I was convinced that drake was back had me singing about some ain’t s*** coworker I had at the grocery store at the time

Summer Walker is the talent. Her team and the label are supposed to reach a deal that balances her interests against theirs. That's how that works.
If it was a bad deal, then they share in that blame.

Russ is not a "small" artist just because you nor I don't listen to him.
Annoying as he is, he does give out a lot of free game on twitter about how he was able to do what he did.
People like him and Logic are examples of what happens when you start from the ground up as an independent artist and put in the grind for years so that by the time you start getting to the label talks, you have more leverage at your behalf.
Brent Faiyaz also another example of that.

at the time they prolly was shopping for what was the best deal available. And I'm saying at that time, Summer prolly also thought that was the best deal available.
Most of the hubub is moreso about the split percentage (which folks have realized is the average) than the number of albums let's be real lol.
And if 16% of the profits we call a bad deal, then we gotta call a spade a spade and say majority of the deals these artists sign are a bad deal lol.
Why do they get to decide what’s classified as an album
I mean CLEAR literally has only 4 songs

nigga idk russ
im talking about people ik irl. i just checked and buddy signed to interscope too
he had a buzz but he didn’t develop anything to get leverage before signing. Not saying his deal is a good one but idk how the f*** he got a better one than f***ing summer walker

"anonymous" sources lmao aight yo.
But to play your game, they just had a better agent that was able to get a better deal. Because to be honest, I've never heard of an unknown artist getting a million dollar deal lololololololol

I never said unknown
all I’ve said is smaller than summer and yes, I’ve noticed an (anecdotal) trend where smaller white artists are given much larger advances than smaller black artists. If they’re suing summer for 50, these crackers are making f*** all for UMG
f*** it lol lets make this thread fun.
Now what do you say if label responds, “but we’re the ones that gave you your career tho”
Don’t get me wrong, this contract positively sucks.most label contracts suck. But also poverty sucks and playing the long game via being independent really sucks plus how am I gon tell somebody be patient and wait when (insert rapper name here cause too many die now) just got shot? (vince staples quote). Indie Summer Walker prolly still working at the pole at least on the side lets be honest.
That 115k advance sounds insultingly small but to an Atlanta ex-stripper (and to most other humans) that is a life saving amount of money.
Usually I’d take the “yall still signing deals for real?” (Jay z voice) and be like its 2026 why niggas not reading the contracts but, it’s a slick predatory game they do to at risk demographics that are super duper talented but also super duper vulnerable that any advance over 100k they signing right away. Then they get smarter over the next few years and only then realize how big they get f***ed over when essentially it’s kinda too late.
Plus lets be so honest, with the way Summer acts outside of music, without the machine behind her she prolly dont really gets the career popping like that.

@NeonBuddy because artists from certain demographics can afford to hold out if a label is offering an advance that to them is insultingly low more than others

Yea it’s evil asf and they should feel ashamed

yep.
ISO Supremacy is his own s***
Yea it’s evil asf and they should feel ashamed
yeah they should but them crackers wont so instead let's teach said black artists how to f***ing hold out instead of jumping at the first opportunity for money OR just to go f***ing independent like people have been yelling for decades
