in the universe of the show he was the only realistic choice among the siblings as rome didnt want it and shiv had no experience, the reality of which both of them agreed upon! thats why they finally conceded and agreed to vote for him! their aspirations were always a joke! kendall was the prodigal son, the troubled hero, the chosen heir. they could've written a classic story here but instead they subverted it because they are modern "british" writers with no humility and think their own personal "unique spin" and "subversion" of millenia old story archetypes constitues "novel" and "good" writing! but this dogshit hollywood fast food here today gone tomrrow piece of s*** story will leave NO impact and be forgotten by next quarter! from your post it doesn’t really seem like you’re that well read, so just letting you know it’s way more in line with centuries old archetypal storytelling for it to end in tragedy without him getting the win. the happy ending is the slick fast food nonsense that you’re so intellectually engorged with you have no sense of air or drama

also the guy writing paragraphs says no impact, bro it clearly impacted you
people using kendall’s outburst in the finale as as a negative makes no sense, what else was he supposed to do? most of the time he blew it was because of other people, the waiter is the only incident that he f***ed it for himself.
every other time was outside variables beyond his control. he carried the company the entire season, siblings promised him the vote and shiv backed out, of course he’s gonna freak out.
no but that was the time to calmly show her what a leader he was, he had made those same kinds of moves earlier in the season and even the same episode. the problem was that because kendall has no follow through, in the highest pressure situation where he needed to stick the landing. he couldn’t, and he lost everything. i love you, but you are not serious people
Kendall really did NOT have that dawg in him. Logan had his assistant in love with him, Ken could never
I get that the final seasons aren’t good, but let’s not act like GOT wasn’t peak TV for years.
Seasons 3 and 4 are some of the best seasons of TV ever, and they belong in the history books
But hey if you hate the entire show now then that’s just how you feel
They f***ed it.
Its like realizing the girl or guy you have been dating for several months or yrs even is amazing and everything is going well till you find out he or she is shoving gerbils through their holes down there.
Ruins everything you know and experienced with that person

im not saying it had to be a happy ending! he could've lost his family, his siblings, his business relations, friendships whatever, been totally alone! that would've certainly been a great drama and in line with the tragedies of old! his ascension to CEO could've been the final expression of his hamartia! im blocking you now "you're this, not that, you're so" HUH? shut up! you dont know me!

Personally I still rewatch it every couple years . I just love being back in that world and experiencing it all again
But I def understand people who don’t go back to rewatch anymore

sorry to twist the knife but it’s a kendal as f*** move to use a buzzword like that. piece of advice for you tho, never use a 10 dollar word when you can away with using a 5 dollar one

In a show filled with people betraying one another to improve their own position, Shiv betrayed Kendall to put her husband and the father of her child(ren) in the power position instead of giving it to him
If you're confused or say it doesn't make sense, you don't understand the show you've been watching

think the entire audience physically cringed at this part
The tangent to the waiter was brilliant, icing on the cake of his implosion. Basically seen how much that s*** has tormented him over 3 seasons to him pretending to brush it off for the sake of getting some ethical leverage over his siblings. Any reasonable viewer is not really siding with him after that

think the entire audience physically cringed at this part
Actually burst out laughing at "I'm the ELDEST BOY" and Jeremy had spit flying out of his mouth
Ima sound slow but whenever they were politicking I’d be lost asf & I watched all 4 seasons
This one of em dialogue dialogue shows fsho
It seems like the only people who weren’t satisfied with the finale are people who are just upset that their favorite character didn’t win, which is stupid because the ending is entirely true to the world this show has built over 4 seasons and stays true to the characters we’ve come to know and love.
Kendall would’ve made sense, sure, but this show was never going to end with the siblings all in perfect harmony. Someone was going to screw over someone because that’s all that family knows how to do. Just like Kendall said in the penultimate episode, “sometimes the people who love you also f*** you.”
Finally catching up, on episode 9 now.
Damn Roman breaking down at the funeral
I knew him being all confident in the beginning wasn’t gonna last
always remember that the kendall brokered the gojo deal
him getting outvoted on a deal be brought to the table characterizes his entire life arch
The script for Connor’s Wedding was released

he’s a d*** addict that got a nigga killed and was trying to broker his way out of a deal he made man there was no way he was realistically gonna win this
they’re all f***ups no one deserved it
everyone complaining about the show: please never touch any shakespear
alternatively im sorry it doesnt end with captain america smacking the infinity deal out of lukas mattson's hands and kendal roy snapping his fingers and saying "I am the eldest boy"
