They already established multiple times in this series that Shiv is literally incapable of loving Tom, Matsson can dispose of Tom any time, and with regards to wealth, all three siblings walked away with billions. She clearly did it because she realized that if she cannot win, then no one can
She took her ball and went home because no one was playing with her. If she can’t have fun, no one can.
