shiv's only interest in teaming up with matsson was to f*** her brothers over bc she didn't get ceo title. she actually stopped looking out for her interests (pierce deal) so that way she could get a fancy title at matsson's version of waystar in an attempt to make her brothers jealous.

ofc ken and roman also want to f*** each other over as well, but at least they have something to gain by doing that. shiv had nothing to gain via the matsson alliance, hence why she is a dipshit.

like we can't be saying that shiv shouldn't be perceived as an idiot. it took three episodes of the shiv-matsson alliance for us to finally find out what shiv even had to gain from helping him. and then we find out that she basically had nothing to gain (foh with that "i'm hot s*** i want a cool position" bullshit).

pls remember that shiv attempted to distance herself from the company until about a year ago (in the show's timeline). she doesn't know s*** about how any of this actually works in comparison to kendall and roman. she doesn't have nearly the same business acumen as kendall or roman. she's not supposed to have a chance at beating them yet she insists that she's capable.
