Say it with me
Money man, money man!
the high end rayons were always like €150 tho. got the shield shirt from 2019 on sale a few years back at 90
i do think there's been a price creep on stuff like pants and knits for sure and coupled with increased hype or maybe lowered stock it makes it seem worse than it maybe is
if we being honest stussy has been kinda safe bar a few things for like a year now

it's interesting how the whole tone in here switched up after that
i do be thinking this a while tho. even remember thinking that summer 21 lookbook that they uploaded in january looked kinda underwhelming.
i think stussy will always have 'nice' stuff but they've had a lil bit of hype the last while and i think they're too comfy with it
I wonder how much the dice mohair is gonna go for
honestly if the wings was like 250 it’s gonna be $400

they def fell into a creative rut and becoming one of those brands where most of their s*** isn't stand out, not a bad thing, and only a few pieces are worth copping
If you're new like i was you won't notice it, but they essentially have their own type of basics. I still hate these prices and how fast s*** goes

Yeah like I think that's pretty much it. Don't get me wrong, there's still a lot of stuff I would probably wear but over the years it feels like it has become less urgent for me as a consumer for the most part. As you say, things becoming less statement and more basics.
Tbh I wonder if a lot of this is linked to a general 'adulting' up of what is considered a hypebeast, streetwear etc. And then I wonder if these brands are gonna feel squeezed by your ALDs and them if prices continue to creep upwards alongside that

god more ald versions of stussy or skate brands sounds trash
some about that brand feels like some gentrified s***. I don't like that high priced "high quality" streetwear stuff, it's like paying $1000 for a gourmet big mac. but thing is, there's like sub styles of hypebeast now and i just think it's the style stussy is in, cause a lot of hypebeasts still wear tees and skinny jeans

ALD big trash
ALD's trash in a world where i can just go buy actual good vintage for a third of the price of ALD pricing
