LUKASI remember people comparing ‘i’ to Pharrell’s Happy tune saying he was going pop, no joke. Theres a reason it didnt chart that well for his sophomore comeback. Underrated single imo aswell. People couldn’t differentiate pop to classic Funk
to be fair the album version is 10000x better

Y'all acting like I'm saying an entire album has songs that all sound the same.
It just gives us an idea. Humble gave us an idea about what Damn would sound like. I gave us an idea what TPAB would sound like.
Not saying these songs represent the entire album. I'm mostly talking about building hype instead of just releasing an entire album surprisingly.
Especially with Kendrick too...coz his albums do not all sound the same.

I disagree. It's better for the album but I go back to the single version before the album version. The problem we all had back then was we didn't want the first single since GKMC to sound so formatted for the radio, in terms of structure and sound. Now tho? You can appreciate it
