I watched 5 and 6. They’re fine? But the pattern is there and god I pray the finale isn’t in the same vein.
“Oh how do we trap Vecna?”
“I have a plan”
Explains plan
Does plan
Plan either fails or only gets them a baby step close
“Now what?”
Stranger things fell off after s3
Them Byler fans got to be the most delusional group ever Mike was so clearly homophobic

I just don’t understand the plan criticism. They’re fighting a war with four goals. How would they even try to win without a plan. The plan explanation is also necessary for the audience. The pattern of the episodes when it comes to this I don’t find bad either.

There are plenty of genre shows and films that have scenes involving big plan sequences that don’t spell them out for the viewers before they happen. Stranger Things is only doing that because they think their audiences need to be spoonfed information

their audience atp does need that tho

The planning isn’t the issue, it’s the proposal of a problem followed by someone immediately putting forth a solution. I get that they’re on a time crunch both in-universe and out but it’s still asinine.
Sadie Sink renegade btw. Literally the only person in this show that knows how to act.

I think it’s the way it’s edited. They go out of their way to explain the plan then show them doing the plan. I feel like we could save a lot of time by explaining the plan as they set up that’s just an editing critique I have really.

I don’t want to turn this into an argument, and I understand what you’re saying. I just think their first thought solutions that happen to work. Should they fail now and again yes and we see that with Dustin’s plan. We see things go sideways in vol 1 with Hopper and El in the UD base. I’m forgiving.
The second Steve and Dustin started fighting my wife goes “I guarantee you they’re going to fight and then accidentally stumble into the next clue”
and low and behold
This is abysmal dogshit
Wait… that Nancy and Jonathan scene was a breakup? Am I dumb?
That sequence was weird i couldnt tell if it was or not either

The Duffer’s confirmed it was
When s5 is viewable from start to finish, I don’t think it will be hated as vol 2 seems to be now.
Nope every single fan account I’ve seen post about this is saying it’s the worst s*** they’ve ever watched
