'tiktok bait' is usually just a witless slur only used by drifting mid 20s dudes who are hyperventilating that their 'cool unique' band discoveries of 2012 are now common (if not viral) knowledge leading to a crisis of confidence because they haven't actively searched for any actual new music since. there are many levels of misery to this type of person it might be worth a thread
