The felony streaming thing is aimed at websites that host unlicensed streams, not users. Meaning if a site posts movies to stream for free, the sites owners can face a felony charge.

What I was just reading said that users and even uploaders are protected, and that the new bill doesn’t introduce any new laws, only harsher penalties on existing laws. The article I read said the bill outlines specifically what it can be used for and it sounded like it excludes users entirely, but i didn’t read the bill itself lol
