That’s how a lot of people think tho,they see it as “if it’s not gonna pay all my bills,then it’s not enough. The government doesn’t care anyways,cause if they really cared,they would’ve set up a program where working people could maybe pay bills and buy groceries(but not luxury/entertainment items)with a card that uses tax payers money for the time being.

dont quote me on this but im pretty sure (from personal experience) it doesnt matter if you are in school or not, it matters whether your parents have claimed you as a dependent, because if you are, in the governments eyes you are taken care by your parents, who then recieve the check, I THINK, i only say this because one of my friends wasnt claimed by his parents and could get it meanwhile i was not eligble because i am claimed

not to mention unemployment is barely enough for ppl to get by on without anything extra and impossible if you're taking taxes out so I'm gonna end up owing in taxes bc they took so long on the additional unemployment and I had to switch to not taking taxes out once the extra 600 went away just to scrape by...disgusting s*** tbh
