I understand why some people would like this season if they enjoy Star Wars in general (been ass last 5+ years)
But as a show that focuses on Din, this season has been a gigantic letdown.
Bo is cool, but ffs give her a series. Why co-opt another character’s show and do absolutely nothing to advance his plotline.
Getting rid of the dark saber from him too eliminates any cool future potential.
Just a ton of fumbles across the board on the handling of the one cool recent character in the Star Wars universe
Spoiler alert for leaked info Din gets the darksaber back cause a Lego set for the finale leaked showing him wielding it
Feel like they’re tryna transition Bo as being the protagonist. “The Mandalorian” is a broad enough title that they could potentially really switch up who the main “Mando” we’re following is.
I wouldn't be happy with it
She's fine as a character but Din is my dog.
But I get Pedro doesn't wanna do this s*** for 10 years.
I bet he was pissed when they started saying they have zero plans for an ending and that it can go on for a long time.
i liked todays episode but what is the point of this show anymore, i mean maybe it focuses by the finale but it felt like the first 2 seasons had this direction it was going and what din was learning about the mandos
now it feels more like random star wars missions
i loved the fantasy elements and the clone wars style plot, i could tell by the first scene it was gonna be that kind of episode tho
i feel like bringing back grogu so fast and in another show has hurt the show, he’s basically a prop now

What on earth
No clue how they’ll make this happen if it’s true.
Maybe this show brings in some real gravity with some character deaths or something
favreau/filoni defenders - where you at now?
I’ll still defend Filoni. This season of Bad Batch has actually been somewhat good.

the new season of bad batch and the new season of mando are very similar in that they both just feel like our main characters doing side missions, with a tiny bit of plot progression put in.
Bad Batch S2 has like 20 episodes and wtf really has happened same thing with Mando, BUTT i am an easy man to please and more star wars is a win for me regardless
...and yes I liked Ep VIII AND Ep IX

Ehh I’m indifferent to it. I’m not all that attached to Din. Wouldn’t mind if they switched up which Mandalorian we follow every couple of seasons, like some Doctor Who type s***.
Bringing back Grogu was a big mistake artistically. Really f***ed up Din’s journey imo. He feels stagnant now. Just meandering from one place to another. Everything currently going on in the show feels like it’s a back door pilot for various potential spin offs. The Coruscant New Republic reformations, Thrawn plot, the retaking of Mandalore, it isn’t something Din himself expressed he wanted to do for his people. Even the Moff Gideon plot, he’s become a side character to it. You’d think he’d want to look into what’s happened to him, and his fate. He’s directly responsible for the grief of your clan. He’s just along for the ride. He has no agency. Other than being caretaker of Grogu, who is just a glorified plushie product placement character
I’m still enjoying the show mainly because Mandalorians in general are in my top 3 favorite groups in Star Wars, but as far as Din himself, he’s become a stick in the mud.
Ep is okay
Fun cameos and it felt like a side Clone Wars story
But it coming this late in the season doesn’t work
With 2 episodes left they have a lot to go over and finish up
they have overused the s*** out of that little Mando horn sound so much this season lol - and it feels unearned every single time.

lizzo alice wonderland still a 100x better than the sequels
I’ll still defend Filoni. This season of Bad Batch has actually been somewhat good.
To add more to this Filoni hasn't really been around for this season of Mandalorian and has been busy with Ashoka.

This is exactly what’s been bothering me too, well said
episode 5 was GAS lmao. still have to watch 6. haters of this show are PURE trend followers.
