Its the story and creativity that is dope to me about star wars. The lore. But as films they werent as good and untouchable as some of yall make it seem.

So I left the theater for not so long ago, and man....
This whole franchise in Disney's hands can party around the block now for all I care, and no, TLJ isn't much better. In fact in the grand scheme of things this whole trilogy's.... don't wanna beat it to the ground, but f*** is it bad lmao. This pains me to say, but never do I think that I've seen something as by the numbers or redundant as this. If you've seen the originals, you've seen it all. Is the film it self bad? Probably not, considering what it's jammed up against. Is it enjoyable? Very much so, I think the audience and (some) fans will have a blast. It's beautifully shot and got some of the best and most visually stunning set pieces I've seen in a while. It's a fun time (I guess).... long as you don't dwell on the SW logic and mythos too much
This is not Abrams fault, nor is it Rians. If anything the studio and the fans' to blame for as much. While TLJ didn't move the needle much further in this saga, this was a convoluted mess that would have benefited from a two-part and is in a sense the true sequel to TFA, for better or worse. It's a glorified Reddit post
Say all you want about the prequels but at least they kept a concise and coherent story. This trilogy however?

I felt like TLJ was a step in the right direction to change things up and do something completely different. It felt like a breathe of fresh air for Star Wars. But now it sounds like the producers are just trying to please fans who wouldnt stop complaining about TLJ smh.

Star Wars fans are never happy if we are being honest lol. First they say TFA was a rehash of the OG film. Then when they change things up with TLJ, people complained that it didnt feel like Star Wars lmaooo
