Those are the people Disney invited to the premiere because they are trying to prove to them that this is a "real" Star Wars movie. Disney still doesn't get that these people will never be happy, no matter what you do.

It's not that Disney or Lucas can't please them, these old ass Star wars want to recapture their childhood through these films smh. They're are like junkies trying to relieve that first hit.

Facts. I’ve been a fan of this franchise since I was a child, but at some point it’s time to accept that the story has to move in different ways in order to be succesful. Star Wars fans complain about TFA being too much like ANH, but if you let anyone try something different (RJ) they’ll decide that it won’t fit into their interpretation of Star Wars. Which is most likely their childhood fantasy. I feel like that’s exactly what this movie is and hopefully fanboys will realize that they’re at fault for this too.

most people find Rogue One as a good Star Wars movie (they dont openly hate on it like TLJ) and that movie is different from the traditional OT movies

I’ve read more than enough fanmade stories about that movie to know that it was a big issue for a lot of fans. You may have disliked it for other reasons, then so be it.

i know a lot of people dont like the movie because of s*** like luke doing dances and smiling during a main fight, Kylo screaming like a privileged white kid every 10 minutes, Leia coming back to life and flying, whole Rose character is forced and cringey for like an entire hour... she couldve saved the entire galaxy but shes too wet for Finn when he doesnt even like her, all these bigger ships in the beginning all for them to die in 2 minutes, casino sequence doesnt even make sense/doesnt matter, just kamikaze your way out of problems. its all absolute dogshit storyteling and saying “theyre just doing stuff differently you have to accept it” is just mental illness

You have the internet at your disposal, use it. Points like Luke smiling and dancing (don’t get that) and your problem with the opening scene kinda proves my point. Your expectations for the movie didn’t pan out and now you’re mad.

Sub plots that are going nowhere
Decisions that dont make any sense
