AntidoteReminder that they made Luke be off the grid until the end of TFA because they couldn't find a way to fit him into the story without taking the focus from the new characters.

Michael Arndt was actually the guy to realise the struggle to introduce Luke in the Lucas script, and he didn't even get to finish it. He wanted more time, but when Iger wouldn't budge on the 2015 release date, KK dumped him for JJ and Kasdan.
