Disney did exactly what I thought they were gonna do. Ride out the rest of season 2 and then kick her to the curb. Good riddance honestly. I have no idea how she even won the part originally. At best she was tolerable. Never good.

I highly doubt they'll rehire her even if she apologizes. She's been on this for months and supposedly disney has been telling her to chill out. she doesn't seem like someone who would apologize anyways she'll probably play the victim if anything

while possibly true it seems like she was lined up for a spinoff series (the New Republic thing which she woulda been a big part of I think)...ppl really arguing it's censorship or a violation of freedom of speech lmao...Disney has a reputation they like to uphold (regardless of their questionable history)...simply put if I get cast as a lead in a new Disney film and a few weeks later I'm making derogatory and offensive statements on social media which is a public platform that I also use to promote their content...yeah they have a ride to cut ties with me...especially after giving me chance after chance to apologize and/or cut the s*** out...you think they'd give RBJ the Ironman gig if he had still been doing the crazy s*** he was up to in the 90's? absolutely not no matter how perfect he is for the role lol

While I do find her comments egregious and the consequences warranted, there is a part of me that can’t help but see this as a slippery slope. How long before simply having a difference of a opinion becomes grounds for being socially excommunicated out of society? Personally, I just never found these hive minded social witch hunts appealing and I find the culture of cancellation extremely toxic regardless of how I feel personally about the person involved. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have much sympathy for her haha in so far as her career goes anyway but as a fellow human being, I can’t help but find all of it rather extreme.
