on first watch I thought it was goofy too giving a whole speech about all the lives lost and then literally blowing up a s*** ton of stormtroopers and I'm sure others...think the point they were going for is just like he was saying Mando's rules change out of desperation his do as well...he had no intention of wanting to be noticed but as he got further in his disgust for the Empire came back to him and he couldn't resist seeking some revenge...actually figured it'd end with Mayfield getting popped but idk maybe with the 'some good shooting" like of Cara she'll come back and recruit him for the Rangers of the New Republic show (if she even ends up in that show)
