Djarin’ story should’ve ended/paused after season 2, and they should’ve transitioned the Mandalorian to Bo Katan firmly establishing her as the new MC. There is a lot to explore with her character. During TCW she was practically a terrorist.

Or even if they didn’t wanna go in that direction, showcase a different Mandalorian clan and its customs. There’s just so many things you could do with this given the title, and the nature of the characters for the most part.

Films that were wrapped in political intrigue like tariffs, secession, fascism, corruption (which is crazy given that most of these themes were written before 9/11 and Afghanistan) The Clone Wars still being our only onscreen conflict to date different from the rebels vs empire dynamic.

(And books that were actually exploring the War on Terror during the post-ROTJ era with the Legacy of the Force books)

It was the perfect balance of mythological larger than life storytelling and grounded in-universe parallels to our world
