The story is actually pretty good to me. Like better than expected.

As for the cash shop, there’s really no need to ever buy anything from it. A majority of things - if not everything is achievable through playing the game. It’s not that hard of a grind either. I’ve barely done any missions outside of the campaign n I find myself flying through the challenge card requirements for the characters.

Even though I am enjoying my time with this, I would say to wait for it to go on sale. I’ve encountered too many bugs to say it’s worth the full price. The game has crashed on me at least once a day since the early release for the deluxe.

Hopefully by the time it’s on sale, all these bugs will be patched up.

Getting irritated with the crashes now. Second time the game freezes on the exact same mission.

The combat is similar in both games to me imo. You could say Spider-Man’s is a lil more polished, due to this games bugs. But everything works the same imo. Dodge mechanic is similar to Spider-Man’s. Take downs similar to Spider-Man’s as well. The combo strings you can do are pretty long and satisfying to do once you get a handle on everything. No stealth option in this game though.

Just played for 2 hours and fought 3 times, the rest was spent platforming as khan.....

Injustice 2 is a completely different type of game though.

Finished the campaign last night. Roughly 10 hours in total. You could probably finish it much faster on normal difficulty, and forgo doing any extra stuff in some areas.

I am overall satisfied with the campaign The story was actually real good imo. I always saw MODOK as more of a comedic relief villain, they did a real good job fleshing him out. Real good origin story. I understood his motivations. Kamala Khan is dope. You could call her character corny, but it all works because she’s an Avengers Stan and fanfic writer. Her gradually growing into her powers was great. Really liked Bruce/Hulk as well. I thought I wasn’t going to like them, because I’m not the biggest fan of the “Bruce & Hulk don’t get along stage” of their power/relationship. But it was executed well here.

Everyone else is fine. The voice actors overall were good in their roles. I didn’t like Cap’s voice at first but it grows on you. Thor’s VA probably the weakest. It feels like a Chris Hemworth impression.

One thing that I felt was kinda jarring was the cutscenes. The way they were edited, it felt like they were cutting corners on not having to animate certain things. I’ll need to check some YouTube vids to make sure my game wasn’t just buggy, but like there is one scene towards the final act like they’re gonna suit up, and it just instantly cuts to them being in the mission.

I’ll probably check out the end game content later today.
