This song was not on any big Spotify playlist until it took off on TikTok. It was not on radio. She was on the New Music Friday playlist at #15, I didn't even notice she had released this song til I started seeing her name everywhere on Saturday morning

only real explanation I can think of is that it blew up on tiktok and blew up more for the song than for the trend associated with it so its resulting in a higher % of people going from that to listening on Spotify. and then its hitting a teenage girl audience who are willing to replay many many times which is how its doing record numbers. like a smaller audience streaming it way more rather than a much wider audience streaming it once or twice
song is gonna be around for a long ass time though it hasn't even got a radio base propping it up yet

its stupid to act like the primary reason for this succeeding is the backing it has because it absolutely isnt possible for a label to back a song to this level of success or else it would be done all the time
