    relapsed bisexual

a whole company can cease operations on zero notice but if u don't put in a two week notice ur the bad guy

lol u don't have to put in a 2 week notice in 2026. And nowadays most companies let u go immediately once you tell them you are leaving especially if to a competitor

Insane economy we’re living in where folks want to pay the most money for things. Spirit should have been thriving like a Casey’s or Walmart

yeah cheap prices brought in extremely low class people who should have no business flying

my ass wouldn't be caught dead getting affordable tickets for this reason, ill pay extra because flying stressful. I want to be as comfortable I can if im gonna be stuck in some cabin 45k feet in the air

bro I wish it didn't come off that way but people go on flights not understanding how s***s operated and make it stressful for everyone. post 2001 and these airlines workers hold all the power lol I do not want any further delays to an already stressful situation and cheap flights brought in people who should be on a greyhound

I grew up with Steve Jobs, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Spirit Airlines. Now there's no jobs, no cash, no hope, and no spirit.

Please don't let anything happen to Kevin Bacon.

    Classism is ingrained in humanity.

    And it has some positives…

all I did was fly spirit in the states and not once did I see or have an issue. I think that stereotype about cheap flights and unruly passengers is rooted in classism and one-off viral videos that are 1 in thousdands of flights happening daily

  • I flew spirit once, the pilot told me to fly the plane cus he had to take a s***

youre probably right if that was your experience. ive never flown spirit and just going off all the videos ive seen throughout the years. so yeah im speaking from an outsiders perspective. ultimately though, I cannot help but feel that was partial incentive to the companies demise.

there's also underlying problems beyond just the company itself ie airport drinking and preflight preparations/impairments that brought a lot of these problems in but thats another discussion

  • Frontier is next

My one time on Spirit I was sick as a f***ing dog coming back from New York and I got off the plane almost dead because the pressure was f***ing with my sinuses

Other than that the flight wasn’t that bad but that hot ass Terminal at LaGuardia was not it either

then why don’t we teach people how things are operated? how is your immediate solution to shut down affordable flying

  • Never had a problem when flying Spirit. RIP to a real one.

Yeah I could tell the difference in classiness of frontier and spirit vs other airlines.

I mean it's the market. A lot of people avoided it. A lot of people want carry-ons. A lot of places didn't take spirit airlines to their destination.

truth is, domestic flights are more affordable than ever. Spirit no longer has monopoly over cheap flights. Also the conflict in the middle east isnt helping either with fuel prices.
the other airlines cover more distance, have more accessibility to resources and have international branches that increase business revenue.

So yea Spirit failed but its not because of the passengers being low class

On a whim I just Googled some flights from NJ/NYC to CHI. Average round trip prices for a weekend are currently $400-500...

More affordable than ever....when there was a time a simple flight like that was $150-175 max
