Was thinking of watching the first one and maybe the second
I’m assuming some twist at the end of X will show stuff from The Finale Chapter or something
With a 10th film, I can’t imagine 100% of this movie will only take place between 1 and 2

The first act is easily some of the best post-Saw 1 content in the whole series for sure.
Once the game is afoot things get a bit more pedestrian here and there, but the change of having John and Amanda on sight and getting to watch them be a part of the whole thing is refreshing enough to still make the middle stretch good stuff.
The setup for the finale is SO good overall, crazy spin that I never would have expected tbh
Overall my current ranking is 1>2>10>4>3>6>5>Spiral>>>>>>>Jigsaw>>>>>>3D

Glad you enjoyed it. Got several more hours until it's out where I'm at. Even with some slightly disappointed reviews the overall consensus seems to be very much that the movie is good which as a huge fan of this franchise is cool to know. I'm happy for the fans man.
