I thought we were headed for some plot craziness with somebody being in on the kidnapping and twists and turns but they really played it completely safe and straight. Can’t believe this is the same duo that made Inside Man

Nah I agreed with all of your criticisms. Score was bad and overdone. Acting was bad. Music videos were bad. Directing wasn't great. I was intrigued when the kidnapping first happened but it ultimately didn't go anywhere interesting. Felt like an episode of a cop TV show that had somehow been stretched to two hours.

Even Jeffery wright pulling out all them guns just to not go inside and use em??? Bro they kidnapped YOUR son and you waiting in the car. But the Jake from State Farm and Mahem lines was good especially since the Mahem actor was playing the cop in this lol

Those lines definitely got the biggest reaction from my theater. I'm still kinda confused what their relationship was supposed to be. They didn't expound on the backstory or how they knew each other at all.

I think I left the theater feeling really negative about the film because Denzel's son had on that stupid ass camo suit in the very last scene of the movie. That s*** pissed me off fr
