A couple thoughts on that cause I had the same exact question in my head (ellipses and all):

• they’ll do a fake out. This is Lord and Miller we’re talking about here; masters of reversals most notably in trope expectations
• they’ll make us think they won’t do it (refer to the above point) then actually do it in an unexpected way and it’s gonna break our f***ing hearts

That poster is definitely playing with the imagery of Gwen’s death tho intentionally so I’d imagine it factors into the plot in some way

The love story is gonna be refreshing in the modern superhero landscape. Superhero movies have become so aromantic (as a symptom of becoming impersonal in general). It’ll be great

Me personally I would like a hero that didn’t have romantic love at all . That’s me personally . Because often it equates to stakes being loved one in danger or dying

It’s worse when they’re incapable of protecting themselves tho which Gwen isn’t in these movies. Plus they had the restraint not to shove in the romance in the first movie. Let them cook.
