Garfield obviously had loose ends, guilt, all that.
Tobey just comes off as a dad type that’s just here to help, not really having any existential crisis lol. Thematically I’m not sure what else I really wanted to see him achieve. Feel like he just got to bro out for a little bit lol

springsteen 4 UThe problem with those movies was never Garfields performance imo, it’s his charisma that makes them watchable beyond the terrible plot lines and s*** support characters (excluding gwen)
Completely disagree, he had the charisma to be Spider-Man, but the writers completely messed that up for him.

Only thing this movie missed was a truly epic shot of Tobey putting on his spiderman mask for the first time. Feel like it was really understated.
