Killing Aunt May isnt the same as killing uncle ben years ago or his parents death. Aunt May could have been significantly more developed than "the hot aunt" who knows his secret identity at a time where so many know his secret identity. He could have been the same sad character with a living Aunt who didnt know he was spider man and friends who didnt even know he existed. It would have functioned well. Her being alive or dead doesn't really matter because he is going to college anyway

Scorpion really not an interesting enough villain to carry a movie but Kingpin and rogues would be cool. As in Kingpin is reassembling a sinister six and is creating crime in New York throughout
