Wonder what sony does after this

This successes is working completely outside of the mcu. Would it be worth it to try and pull spidey out of the mcu if Tom signs on for more?

That’s what I thought I about and everyone forgetting about Spider-Man makes it easy for the mcu and Sony to move on. I lowkey think they’re thinking about it

they do this and then the kang arc gets underway and they need everyone back and then you'd have tons of people upset spider man's nowhere to be seen

also this post reminded me about the ongoing sony rights drama which makes me sad :(

glad it worked out in the end but this was obviously not the plan

I actually wonder what they would've done if there was never an "iron boy jr" type backlash. would they ever actually try making him his own man like they did at the end of NWH?

How do you know “this was obviously not the plan”?

Feige is on record for having this MCU s*** planned and plotted out years in advance

because they didn't decide to put all the spidermen in 1 movie till like a year ago lol. and they definitely wouldn't have done it for a while if spiderverse didn't already come out and was already successful in 2018.

Again, how do you know that? Because Jon Watts said that this was the plan for the third movie and that the Kraven plot was a backup in case they couldn’t get all the actors to return to their roles.

I agree that the success of Spider Verse helped in their decision to do No Way Home, but the MCU was already headed in the Multiverse direction. Feige said in 2018 I believe that he had a 5 year plan mapped out post-Infinity Saga, and we’re seeing that plan play out right now, and it’s centered around the Multiverse at the moment. Who’s to say the third Spider Man wasn’t included in that plan?

2:35 I mean here's kevin feige talking about the brainstorming process after far from home came out which was 2 years ago youtube.com/watch?v=hmiExlgZiS4

I agree that the MCU has a big plan but with spiderman being halfway at Sony I don't think they had every little thing planned out.

I mean literally a year ago there was a whole dispute and people thought sony was taking back spiderman from marvel before they came to another agreement. that would've meant a tom holland movie without dr strange or anything mcu related.

All he’s saying in this clip is the discussions they had in the writers room while coming up with the story for NWH. That doesn’t mean they just magically though out of the Spiderverse idea, like Feige said they had been saying it would be cool to do multiple things but needed a place for it to fit in the story. It could’ve been an idea he had while formulating the 5 year plan but it wasn’t set in stone until they knew for sure all the actors would return.

All I’m saying is we don’t 100% know for sure when the events we see play out in NWH were conceptualized, and that it’s not outside of the realm of possibility to believe that Feige at least had some inkling of the idea prior to a year ago

Feige already confirmed that the 4th one at least will be another Marvel x Sony collab and they are starting production right away. Specifically just working in the script

Finally saw this. MJ kind of the most useless romantic interest of the three. She’s literally just there to be there.
